Sapphire Packaging Health & Safety Policy

We, at Sapphire Packaging, are committed to promoting high standards in health and safety for our employees, customers, contractors, temporary workers, visitors, and all other stakeholders involved in our operation. This policy is compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other relevant UK legislation and regulations.

1. General Principles:

We are committed to:

a) Providing a safe and healthy working environment.
b) Preventing accidents and work-related ill health.
c) Maintaining safe and healthy working conditions.
d) Providing adequate training for our staff to ensure they are competent in handling health and safety measures.


2. Responsibility:

The ultimate responsibility for health and safety in the workplace lies with the Management of Sapphire Packaging. However, all employees also have a legal obligation to take care of their own health and safety and of other people who may be affected by their activities.

3. Safety Measures:

a) Safe equipment and systems of work will be established and maintained.
b) Regular risk assessments will be conducted to identify hazards and implement necessary control measures.
c) Safety training will be provided as necessary and will be repeated periodically.
d) Safe methods of handling, storing and transporting articles and substances will be enforced.


4. Reporting:

All accidents, incidents, near misses, and illnesses are to be reported according to our accident reporting procedure to ensure that proper measures are taken to prevent re-occurrence.

5. Emergency Procedures:

Emergency procedures including evacuation in case of fire or other significant incidents, are clearly established.

6. Review of Policy:

This Health & Safety Policy will be monitored to ensure that the objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in the light of legislative or organizational changes.

As a company, we are dedicated to continuous improvement in health and safety. This policy will be reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to our operations.
